Mission and values

Our mission is to be the trusted partner for individuals, families and businesses on their journey to preserve their wealth for future generations. The long-term mindset, the absence of conflict of interest and the personalised investment approach set SDM apart.

Transgress generations

As a family business, we understand the financial complexities that come with preserving wealth. Our business model focuses on the long-term horizon and is aligned with our clients’ goal of transferring their wealth to the next generation. Our long-term relationships are built on confidentiality and trust that transgress generations. We serve as your trusted partner on your families’ investment journey.

Transparancy

As an independent family-owned bank, we are entirely committed to preserving and growing our clients’ wealth in a sustainable and responsible way without conflict of interest. SDM is transparent in both its investment approach as its fee structure. Portfolios are invested principally in direct securities as opposed to a fund of fund structure. Equally SDM offers a clear and simple fee structure.

Tailor-made

Each family is unique. Our experienced team is fully dedicated to understand your financial objectives and design customised solutions for your financial needs. At SDM's discretionary asset management division, which constitutes the majority of its activities, we build tailor-made investment portfolios to better serve our clients' unique financial goals. Our experienced investment team creates independent in-house research based on dutifully selected sources.

Tailor-made investment portfolios based on independent in-house research, sets SDM apart.

EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS

Continuity is the key to a successful relationship. The senior members of SDM have considerable experience and hold recognised professional qualifications. The majority of our staff have been employed within our organisation for many years and we are justifiably proud of their immense achievements. This continuity has enabled them to forge a close rapport with their clients.

Your attentive managers will be well versed in both your business and private affairs through close, regular contact. You will find that they are easily accessible and are more than pleased to provide information or guidance on any aspect of your concerns. A personal and independent approach

We hold your securities in segregated securities accounts. This guarantees that your securities may never be lent to third parties and that your securities are clearly separated from SDM’s own accounts. Clients’ cash is also segregated and deposited in instalments. Your cash therefore enjoys protection from segregation and diversification on top of the legal guarantee of the Protection Fund.

SDM Rally

Every year, we organize a classic car rally for our clients and relations. It’s a fun way to get to know each other a little better. All profits are donated to charity
